With over 20 years of experience in international training, Anne-Laure Hennequin approaches the world of perfume with verve and passion. Drawing upon her intimate knowledge of perfume culture and perfume brands, she has spent her career helping international sales forces acquire multicultural expertise in perfume. She developed a number of « edutainment » training programs and now she has created the first educational games about perfume intended for amateurs, from neophytes to perfume enthusiasts.

Yet, my experience taught me that, unfortunately, training in perfume culture is not often a priority for sales associates. Instead, they are generally trained either on novelties or sales techniques, but they are rarely given training that would enhance their expertise in perfumes. The result is that many sleeping beauties remain on the shelves desperately waiting for someone to wake them up. Consumers feel lost amid a flow of new perfumes that all smell similar, and they receive no guidance from sales associates who lack genuine expertise. This is probably one of the reasons for the growth of alternative perfumery, also known as « niche perfumery ».
So, I said to myself, since information about perfume culture often isn’t available in perfume stores, why not deliver it directly to consumers? I felt I had a mission: simplify perfume education in order to promote its culture to the widest audience. With my commitment to the philosophy of « edutainment », it was natural for me to develop the concept of the Master Parfums® games. »
